*The Public Budget Hearing was called to order at 7:30 pm

*Discussion/Questions/Comments on the proposed budget.

*The Special Town Meeting of the Electors was called to order pursuant to Section 60.12(1)(c) of Wisconsin Statutes at 8:00 pm.

1. To approve the total 2008 highway expenditures pursuant to Section 82.03 of Wisconsin Statutes.

Motion Kay Kahl/Dorothy Stluka to approve the 2008 total highway expenditures at $343,491

Motion David Kerl/ to amend the motion to increase the total 2008 highway expenditures to $483,000 in order to include Far View Road and Turkey Road in the road construction projects. Motion failed due to a lack of a second.

Motion Kay Kahl/Dorothy Stluka to approve the 2008 total highway expenditures at $343,491. Motion carried. Vote 22-2 Paper ballot

2. To adopt the 2007 town tax levy to be paid in 2008 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin Statutes

Motion Kendall Kahl/Chris Upper to adopt the 2007 local levy at $343,229 and to adopt the Fire and EMS budgets to make a total local levy of $442,732. Motion carried. Vote 23-1
