- The DSL program was briefly discussed. There
has been a fair amount of response to the newsletter pleas, though not
huge numbers yet. Testimony has been compelling. Ad Hoc committee to meet
in early July to discuss and explore options for high speed internet
including TDS, power companies, cell phone companies.
5.
Town email
addresses were discussed. Studz is now using a Berry email address for sending/receiving
Town emails. Original plan was to
provide Town email addresses so that board and committee members could
segregate their town business from their personal or business emails. Automatically copying clerk on every email
was not originally envisioned. Baker to
check re ability to store all board/committee member email on server.
Speculates there is not enough space (Town may need to buy more). Baker also to set up email addresses for all
board and committee members. Said members will be responsible for setting up
web mail accounts on their computers.
Baker speculates having this done possibly within 2-3 weeks.
6.
Web subcommittee: Ohnstad
reports work continues to get ordinances/policies online.
- Upcoming events: a meeting re broadband
connection is tentatively planned prior to August board meeting.
- Creation of new resident package was
discussed. Committee unaware of
existing package models. Molling to list elements to include in the
package. List will then be passed to other committee members to add
on. Some new residents will be
contacted for their suggestions.
- The next committee meeting date is 7/17, copy deadline is 7/7.
- No other business coming before the committee,
the meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm
Respectfully submitted,
Sue Studz
