Tax Notice
First installment of Real Estate Property tax or
full payment (optional) is due to the local treasurer by January 31.
Also Real Estate Property taxes of $99.99 or less, Personal Property
tax, Special Charges, and any Woodland tax must be paid in full by January
31. All payments must be postmarked by January 31 or the taxes will
be considered delinquent. Interest of 1% per month and a delinquent
penalty of 1/2% per month will be charged. Tax bill receipts are available
upon request by sending a self- addressed stamped envelope along with
your payment. If you paid by first installment then your second installment
of Real Estate Property taxes will be due July 31 and are paid and mailed
to the Dane County Treasurer.
Payments
Payment in full or 1st installment of your tax bill(s)
is due January 31. Checks are payable to the Town of Berry. Tax bill
and dog license payments need to be kept separate (two checks).Tax bill(s)
may be mailed or delivered to the office during regular business hours.

Collection Hours
Taxes are collected on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30
to 4:30 and on Wednesday from 7:00 to 11:00. The office is located at
9046 State Road 19. There may be times when the Treasurer will be out
of the office therefore you may make an appointment by calling 767-4152.
Tax Rate Information
Tax Rate equals the local levy divided by the assessed value. A tax
rate of .00331 means that for every $100,000 of assessed value the property
tax would be $331.
Mill rate means $.001. If the mill rate is 3.31, then taxes on $1,000
equal $3.31.
